Kinder Croft CIC

 

We are Kinder Croft CIC. An Outdoor Nursery and Learning venue. 

Our term time nursery offers play-based day-care for children aged 2.5 - 7 yrs with qualified Early Years and Forest School trained Practitioner's. Over school holidays we open up the site to welcome children aged 3- 14 to explore, learn and engage in the beautiful natural environment. Our forest site is also a learning and engagement venue for people of all ages through workshops such as foraging and willow weaving as well as annual open days. Our aim as a Community Interest Company is to engage with the local community by utilising our outdoor environment as a tool for learning and social engagement.

Our daily term time focus is based around Early Years Forest School Practice. 

Through supervised child-led play, we embrace an ethos where children are valued, trusted and supported. Many studies show that being outside as much as possible is good for us, and this is especially true for young children as they begin to learn about and engage with the world around them.

 

We offer a safe and dynamic outdoor setting where children will learn to place themselves in nature, as a connected part of it rather than as visitors passing through. Children will be allowed to explore boundaries and reach their potential through a positive approach to risk, by trained staff, in a nurturing natural learning environment.

Our aim is to put sustainability and environmental awareness at the heart of what we do. Wherever possible we will work to have as little of an environmental impact as possible and this will be an important aspect of the children's learning journey whilst on site.
